Herty Borngreat Raps At RTP Awards

Award-winning gospel musician Herty Bongreat is now known as ‘Herty Rapper’ after she proved her ‘rap flow’ in all her recent stage performances.

Herty featured Ghana’s reigning artiste of the year Sarkodie ‘Obidiponbidi’ on her hit gospel song, ‘Bebrebe’ and also featured award-winning hip-hop star Trigmatic on her track ‘Kano Seyaa’ but in all her recent performances, when she was asked to perform the two songs, Herty hit the stage alone and personally tried her rap skills just as the two hiplifers did in the songs.

The gospel diva performed at the Globa Radio and Television Personality Awards at the Dome of the Accra International Conference Centre last Saturday, October 13 and she thrilled the crowd when rapped the full Sarkodie verse in the song.

In recent times, Herty seemed to have become a heavily sought-after gospel artiste as her outdoor performances seemed to be on the high side.

She rocked at both the Ghana Gospel Industry Awards held in July and at the Miss Road Safety Ghana contest on October 5 and would be rocking at tomorrow’s RTP Awards, and the Artistes Night organized by Empire Entertainment.

The RTP Awards was aimed at recognizing and rewarding seasoned radio and TV personalities who have over the years contributed immensely towards the development of the industry in Ghana and have also endeared themselves to listeners and viewers.

The event was expected to attract a tall list of industry professionals, with some picking up awards on the night.
