Popular actress Juliet Ibrahim has been selected among some of Africa’s A-List celebrities to lead and influence Future Awards Africa’s Stop Ebola campaign.

The Future Africa Awards, formerly known as The Future Awards, is an awards event organised by The Future Project (TFP), a social enterprise communications firm affiliated to the Red Media Group, a leading media content and communication company in Nigeria.

The awards celebrate young people between the ages of 18 and 31 who have made outstanding achievements in the year under consideration. Forbes described the awards as “Nigeria’s most important awards for outstanding young Nigerians.”

Its Stop Ebola Campaign is aimed at saving the 40 million Africans out there who are at risk by creating awareness and raising funds through direct fans of selected celebrities. Juliet Ibrahim is expected to educate her followers on social media about Ebola.

According to the organisers, all donations will be channelled to the United Nations Ebola Responds Fund.

Prior to this campaign, Juliet Ibrahim on her own initiative released a song to create awareness on the deadly virus.

Meanwhile, Juliet will soon premiere her second produced movie, Shattered Romance, directed by actor turned director Eddie Nartey on December 5 at the Silverbird cinemas in Accra and Weija.
