Kofi B severely beaten and injured by thugs

Hi-life musician Kofi B, known in real life as Kofi Boakye Yiadom has been severely beaten and injured by unknown thugs Monday night.

The Afia Donkor hit singer, who is currently on admission at a hospital in East Legon in Accra, was returning from the studio when the unfortunate incident occurred.

Kingsley Addai, a close friend of Kofi B confirmed the story to Adom News Tuesday and said the incident was a horrific one.

He recounted that the singer had just finished a studio session and while he was returning to his car, six unidentified men approached him and attacked him without any provocation.

Kingsley said, the thugs, all men, meted out severe beatings on Kofi and destroyed his car in the process.

He added that the thugs made away with some valuable items on Kofi B and also stole some items from the car.

While it is still unclear what might have fueled the attack, the musician sustained severe body bruises.

Kingsley Addai said they have lodged a formal complaint with the police and Kofi B is responding to treatment.
