P-Square ‘link’ heightened my hopes – Predy X

Ghana’s budding Afro-pop artist, Samuel Omane-Mensah, known in showbiz circles as Predy X says recent reports linking him to P-Square really got his hopes high. The young artist was linked to the Nigerian-duo’s record label, Square Records but it turned out the story was untrue.

According to the reports which have officially been described as false by Square Records, the young artist was being targeted to replace May D who fell out with the Nigerian duo two months ago.

But speaking in an interview with Myjoyonline.com, the Dance with my Baby artist said his hopes have not been dashed with the latest twist to what he described as a “rollercoaster” week. According to him, he had people calling him virtually every minute to congratulate him about the “news” adding that “I was always stunned as to where this was coming from”.

He told Myjoyonline.com that he tasked his manager to get to the bottom of the issue and find out whether there was any veracity in the report. “It’s true I expressed my admiration for the P-Square but I least expected to be linked to their label (Square Records).”

According to Predy X, “I also would have wished this thing never happened because it really upped my hopes. I believe at the right time people would appreciate my music”.

According to him, he has just finished the video shoot for his single Dance with my Baby which he says would be premiered before the end of 2012.

Predy X however noted that his management would issue a formal statement on the false reports that linked him to Square Records.
