Simon Cowell: Britain’s Got Talent winner will be the first person to perform in space
Simon Cowell is hoping to offer the ultimate prize to the winner of Britain’s Got Talent – a trip to space.
The TV mogul is working with Virgin boss Richard Branson, 61 – who sponsors the show – to try and work out a way to make this year’s BGT victor the first person to show off their talents above the earth’s atmosphere.
‘I’m being serious,’ says Simon, 52.
‘You could be the first singer or dog act, whatever, performing in space.’
And Simon intends to get involved in the out-of-this-world prize, which will see him travelling in businessman Richard‘s rocket for space tourists, the Virgin Galactic.
‘I would go on the spaceship myself,’ Simon tells The Sun. ‘You have to have a lot of training.
‘I love the idea that, if they are up for it, then they have the option of performing in front of the whole planet in space.’
