Sylvester Stallone’s son dies ‘from pill overdose’

Sylvester Stallone's son has died of a suspected overdose of pills, it emerged early Saturday. Sage Moonblood Stallone, 36, was found dead in his LA apartment by police last night. The LAPD had been contacted with concerns over his welfare. A spokesman said there was no “suspicion of foul play or criminal activity”.

The actor made his film debut alongside his father in 1990 sequel Rocky V — playing the boxer's son Robert Balboa. He appeared in several films including the 1996 movie Daylight. Sage's attorney George Braunstein said: “I am devastated. He was in good spirits, and working on all kinds of projects. “He was planning on getting married. He was an extremely wonderful, loving guy. It's a tragedy.”

US websites claimed he died of an overdose.

Sylvester Stallone's representative, Michelle Bega, told website TMZ: “Sylvester Stallone is devastated and grief-stricken over the sudden loss of his son Sage Stalone.

“His compassion and thoughts are with Sage's mother, Sasha. Sage was a very talented and wonderful young . His loss will be felt forever.”
