Actress Omotola’s son collapses at US Embassy

Michael Ekeinde, the last born of Nollywood star, Omotola Jalade Ekeinde blacked out at the US Embassy in Lagos, Nigeria Monday.

It is unclear what might have caused the 13-year-old to collapse but the actress disclosed on twitter that she suspects it was due to exhaustion; he had been standing in a long queue in the embassy for hours.

The mother of four said, “The craziest thing happened to me today… Was at the US embassy and my last kid Blacked out and practically passed out! Very hot with long lines, perhaps exhaustion…”

Scores of sympathetic fans swarmed the award winning actress’ twitter handle to inquire about the condition of Michael and assure her the boy will be fine.

Omotola, who apart from acing is an Amnesty International activist, later replied, saying she has taken him to the hospital and thanked officials at the embassy for their swift response.

“Just leaving the Hospital. He’s fine now. Thanks to all the ppl and embassy officials who swung into action to help. #Bless”.
