Amakye Dede vows to quit smoking

Legendary hi-life musician, Amakye Dede has vowed to quit smoking if he gets volunteers to help him.

Amakye Dede who was speaking on the Personality Profile segment on Drive Time with Kwabena Anokye Adisi popularly known as Bola Ray on Joy FM Thursday said although he is not a chain smoker, he is willing and ready to quit altogether.

“I smoke now but too much for sometime…like five sticks,” admitting that it is harmful and adding, “I know [its harmful] that is why am planning to quit… even now.”

The sober Amakye Dede said smoking serves a booster but was willing and ready to quit. “I am assuring you that from here, you won’t see Amakye Dede [smoking].”
