Appiatus, Ambulley not fit to contest me – Obour

imagesThe incumbent President for Music Union of Ghana (MUSIGA) says his opponents; Appiatus and Gyedu-Blay Ambulley are not fit to contest the position.

According to Bice Osei Kuffour, per MUSIGA Constitution, an aspirant should be an executive member who have served one full term in office but the two (Appiatus, Ambulley) don’t meet the criteria thus should have been disqualified.

Obuor as his a popularly called in an interview with Mike’2’ on Adom Entertainment Hall show Saturday, wondered why the Electoral Committee of MUSIGHA was lenient on the two contesting the presidential position.

The MUSIGHA presidential said he will not challenge the decision, but anyone who goes to court over the blunder of the Elections Committee would win and Appiatus and Ambulley will be disqualified from the race “Anybody could go court if he or she feels cheated and they (Appiatus, Ambulley) will be disqualified since they have not served for one full term”, he stressed.

Obour was optimistic of a landslide victory in the elections because he has made MUSIGHA very attractive.

Meanwhile, an injunction is likely to hit the elections slated for Saturday 31st October over the non-availability of the delegate list.

According to Gyedu Blay Ambulley, Greater Accra and Ashanti regions’ delegates have been increased from 10 to 30 and 20 respectively, a development he feels could go against him.

The presidential aspirant stated that the increase of the delegates is in violation of the MUSIGHA constitution.

Gyedu Blay Ambulley accused Obuor for the machinations to enable him rig the election.

“These are some of the things Obour and his cohorts are doing to rick the elections which I will not sit down for this to happen at all”, he warned.
