Barima Sidney To Celebrate 20 years Anniversary In The Music Industry

Popular and controversial artiste is set to celebrate his 20 years anniversary in the music industry next year(2016). Barima Sidney is known for making hit songs with his controversial lyrics and expertise in making it big in the market. He is under the label Skwadee entertainment which is owned by him and he has mentored a lot of artiste who are making hits currently. Barima Sidney has made a lot of political songs and social songs to push an agenda. He never gets it wrong when it come to lyrics and putting it into the right rhythm. He uses very controversial lyrics to explain things happening and the word he uses becomes a “catchy” phrase or words used by both children and adult alike.

Sidney Ofori (Okyeame – Chief linguist) started out with Native Funk Lords (and with Ded Buddy) in 1994/5 before he formed Nananom (ancestors/the chiefs in Twi). He was an original member of Nananom which also included Omanhene Pozoh, and Jyoti Chandler (Ohemaa – Queen mother)
Barima Sidney has churned out so many hits over the years after he went solo in 2001to date like Tinana panpana, ‘Abuskeleke’, Obia nye obia, Wo kunu kotebea, Africa money, Kyere me, I see you cher, Monhye nkom, Africa Money, Ma sweetie, Paanoo shew, Colour TV, Piti odo nsuo, Ehye mu, Mind da gap, Obaa kokoo, Ibi so, Hu me mobo, Child Soldier, Adukrom nsuo, Nkwaraa yi, Underground, Sika die33 basaa. Its still amazing to note that after churning all the hit songs over the years Barima Sidney has never received an Award in Ghana rather internationally.
