Becca named Hair Crush Wednesday by Lydia Forson
Today’s Hair Crush Wednesday is the Ghanaian singer-songwriter and actress Rebbecca Acheampong, popularly know as “Becca”. @beccafrica
She shot to fame with her lead single “You Lied to Me” which was nominated for Record of the year category at the 2008 Ghana Music Awards, and has continued to release hit after hit ever since; it’s safe to say Becca is here to stay.Here’s her story:
I did my Big Chop in 2013 right before I shot my video for my hit single “African Woman”. I’d toyed with the idea of natural hair before then but never really settled on whether to do it or not.So a day before the video shoot, I just decided it was about time to give it a try, and so I nervously walked into the salon and asked them to cut my hair.
