Bring your new dancing shoes for a party of a lifetime – Paapa Yankson promises

Legendary hi-life musician Paapa Yankson says his fans have not seen the last of him yet promising to bring his ‘A’ game to play at this year’s Joy FM Hi-Life Dance Party.

The event, scheduled to come off at The Events Heaven of the Trade Fair in Accra on December 1, is the nation’s only authentic hi-life music platform where legends of hi-life music perform before hundreds of music enthusiasts.

Expectations are high considering what the show has achieved over the years. Event after event, hundreds throng venues to relive the good old hi-life days.

Paapa Yankson, is on a rich list of legends, which also includes Felix Owusu, George Darko and the youthful Kwabena Kwabena.

The celebrated hi-life musician credited with several hits, including Okukuseku, Show Your Love, Won Hye Yen Ase and the evergreen Adjoa Yankee, speaking on Joy FM’s Super Morning Show Wednesday said God was his inspiration and that everyday happenings played a critical role in his lyrics.

“If you want to keep people on their feet on the floor, it depends on your presentation, know what the people want and you keep them on the floor till they get tired,” he said.

The man who says he chimes perfectly with any band assured that “I am ever ready” adding “I will give you my best so come enjoy yourself, come with your brand new shoes.”
