DKB says no to NPP and NDC
Derick Kobina Bonneya, Ghanaian comedian popularly know as DKB has revealed his intention not play part in Ghana politices but to focus on his career.
At a press launch last Friday, during when briefing the media about his one-man comedy show, “Point Of View” slated for July 9 disclosed that he rejected offers from NPP and NDC to play a part in their 2016 campaign.
He stated:
“Yes they have but I had to turn it down even though it wasn’t a small thing. I have to keep the focus because at the end of the day we are still going to have Gh comedy with or without an election.
We hit both political parties so if you allow one political party to shut you up then it means you cannot talk about their flaws. I just want to be in the middle so that I can fire anybody at any time.
I don’t want to take the risk and besides the image is new. I don’t want people to start saying that when we hit small we’ve started campaigning for political parties.
I want the comedy genre to be matured before we can even venture into politics.”
