Don’t see Rastafarians who eat meat as evil people – Samini

Emmanuel Andrews Samini better known as Samini in showbiz circles has disclosed that even though he is a Rastafarian, he eats fish because it is nutritious.

He made this known on the Hang Out segment on the Cruise Control show on Hitz 103.9 FM with Kwame B.

Samini said, in his opinion a Rasta man is a conscious man “because the principal of Rastafarian is based on consciousness.”

He stated that, “eating meat or not has nothing to do with being Rasta. I think the one that represents Rastafaria himself [Emperor Haile Selassie] if you read his autobiography; his favourite food had chicken in it. So Emperor Haile Selassie ate Chicken.”

He further explained that we should not see Rasta men who eat Chicken as evil men because “Rastafaria is not just about the beard and the hair and you not eating or drinking certain things, it’s beyond that.”

The dancehall artiste also revealed that though he had featured on many songs and was in the limelight, he thinks Linda a song from his first album was his breakthrough song.

He also disclosed that his fifth album is almost ready and added that his fans should expect some good videos from him.
