I have not retired from teaching – Ohemaa Mercy
One of the finest female gospel artistes, Mercy Twum Ampofo popularly known as Ohemaa Mercy, says she has not entirely retired from the teaching profession.
The gospel singer, a teacher by profession, made this known on Adom FM’s Entertainment Hall last Saturday, hosted by Mike 2 saying she was on leave from the service since it would be difficult to combine the two (teaching and singing).
According to her, teaching remains a passion but she has been blessed with a talent for music and singing which inspires people to get closer to God.
The artiste, with over ten years experience in the music industry, has five albums to her credit and plans to release a new one soon.
The ‘Eye Adwene Na Eye Se Asei’ artiste commended Big Ben Music Production for supporting her so far, adding that female gospel artistes Daughters of Glorious Jesus had been her inspiration.
In the meantime, she still has plans to establish her own school in the Eastern Regional capital of Koforidua.
