I will be a pilot when I retire my football career -Asamoah Gyan
Black Stars captain, Asamoah Gyan has hinted that he will learn how to pilot when he retires from international football.
The former Sunderland striker is has acquired a license to operate an airline business.
The decision by Gyan was announced by His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akffo Addo.
Gyan, 32, in an interview with CNN, disclosed that he is planning of learning how to pilot after football.
“I will learn how to pilot,” he says. “Hopefully it will become a part-time job.
“I have learned a lot throughout my career,” he says. “Leadership, determination, commitment, perseverance and mental toughness will come into play.
“I conducted research with my team and we identified business opportunities.
“The airline idea started from 2012 but I waited for the right time and I believe Ghana’s economy is now expanding in many areas (including) the aviation industry.” He added.
He recently launched his new energy drink brand “Jet Energy drink” which is already on the market.
Gyan is the country’s all-time leading goal scorer.
