JAY GHARTEY’S “CASE CLOSE” TO HAVE MAMMOTH LAUNCH

Jay Ghartey, Ghanaian Afro-pop and hiplife sensation says he does not have a problem with people ripping his songs and sharing or downloading them off the internet.

The young man, particularly known for his looks and beautiful voice was speaking on the focus city show on focus fm with DJ Scientific (Kwame Poku) at the weekend.

“I’m not complaining at all”, he told DJ scientific when asked if he had a problem with the downloading and ripping of his music.

Concerning his “Papa” song, he said it was neither strictly afro –pop nor Hiplife but a mix between the two genres.

Jay Ghartey, who was speaking on phone from New York City, said his mixtape ‘Holiday’ is a platform to help artistes who are signed to he and his brother’s record label, GH Brothers, to shine.

GH brothers, has some artistes like A.J Nelson and Nana Akwasi signed on to it.

According to Jay, he values the prayers of his fans and the words of encouragement that come from them more than any award.

On “Azonto”, he maintains it is a dance and not a music genre because people could do the dance to many different types of songs.

Jay Ghartey is releasing his new album “Case close” coming summer and he says Ghanaians should expect a very big launch.
