Miss Humanity Ghana pageant scheduled for April

Xclusive Productions Ghana, is organising the first-ever Miss Humanity Ghana Beauty Pageant at the National Theatre in Accra in April, 2012.

A statement issued in Accra on Friday by Mr Adjei Anang, Executive Director of Xclusive Productions, said the event was aimed at promoting and raising awareness about humanitarian issues, create a platform to engage government and businesses in social activities, to benefit all human kind through charitable causes.

In addition, it would support charities that work to advocate against child Labour, HIV and AIDS discrimination, domestic abuse and human trafficking.

The statement noted that the event would dynamically contribute to personal development of Ghanaian women and promote culture diversity, environment issues and tourism.

“Developing the human capacity of a country will contribute to achieving the needed economic growth, it’s about pursuing capabilities and realising the rights and freedoms of the individual,” it said.

The statement said the pageant would give contestants the opportunity to display their talents while empowering them to develop their full potentials and supporting them to lead productive and creative lives.

It explained that the event would educate and promote tourism and cultural exchange among participants from the country and other countries, while encouraging friendship and business aspirations.
