MUSIGA Executives To Embark On Nationwide Tour

From the 26th April– 8th June 2012, Musicians across Ghana will have the opportunity to come face to face with the leadership and industry professionals as they organize artistes Development Fora, Regional elections and MTN Hitmakers music Demo selection across the 10 regions of Ghana.

The Tour is to be used to introduce new executives to the regions, sensitize members on how to help enhance growth and in the process create jobs in the regions.

The leadership of the Union after taking a critical look at the challenges of musicians, identified among other things the of lack of Record companies and Executive Producers who are readily available to invest in new talents as a major one that affects the release of quality musical works onto the Ghanaian market.

In view of this The leadership through this Nationwide tour will:

(i) organize Artistes Development forum with the key objective of providing quality industry capacity building and education on music business and share information on how to collectively address some of the industry concerns currently facing us.

(ii) Organize Regional elections to elect regional officers for the Union who will work with the National Executives to build a better Union and Music Industry and .

(iii)Select Demos for participation in the MTN Hitmakers Show that seeks to provide real opportunity to ambitious raw talents, to explore their gifts, express themselves musically and in the process secure the needed break into mainstream music business.
