Obaapa Christy discuss oppression in marriage with Franky5

Gospel singer Obaapa Christy has asked persons who feel their views are not respected in their marriage to walk out of it.

The “Hyebre Sesafo” singer on TIG Show hosted by Franky5 on Hitz FM talked against partners who are authoritative in their marriage. She asked couples to understand themselves and accept each other’s thoughts to yield a good relationship instead of being oppressive.

To her, it does not make sense for someone to be in a marriage where his opinion is not considered in decision making.

“There are several marriages that if you decide to talk, your partner will question how sensible you are for you to share your thoughts when everybody is talking. There are countless of such marriages in this country.

If you don’t have sense and you are still married to this person, what are you expecting from the marriage? Whatever you say is not respected. “Obaapa told Franky5.

She admitted that marrying a pastor is not an easy task. The multiple award-winning gospel musician continued that partners should not be enemies should they divorce because it is the will of God for them to be apart.

“If you separate with your partner, it does not mean you are enemies. Some people keep mute and stay in bad marriage which kills them at the end of the day but for some people God has second chance for them so He uses several means to collapse their marriage.”
