“VGMA Board are Hypocrites ”-Dancehall Artiste Jupitar Slams VGMA Board After His Name Is Missing In 2018 VGMA Nominees List

There’s no single year that a VGMA would be held that there won’t be a controversy surrounding it and this year’s own is not any different as the award scheme has received its first backlash from another dancehall artiste. We shared with you the full list of nominees for the 2018 VGMA and in the list, we’ve published so far, Jupiter General’s name is missing in the categories.

Jupitar has fumed on Twitter and called the board of the VGMA a bunch of idiots and hypocrites for not nominating him or any of his song in the award scheme.

In a tweet, he stated; “VGMA board, y’all bunch a idiots and hypocrites, I fucking submitted this time and it was a song that actually won big in U.K. (Clowns ), keep it up”

A copy of his original tweet below (we added the screenshot above just incase, he deletes it)

Recall,In 2017 Jupiter won an award in the UK At The 2017 Urban Music Awards-Beats. The Likes Of Wizkid, Tiwa Savage, Tekno & Others and so we can understand his frustration as he expects to earn a nomination when his song won an award in the UK and beat other top African acts.

Jupitar is not the only artiste who’s music has not being nominated in this year’s edition, big acts like EL, Manifest, Medikal, Edem are all missing in action.
