Video: Bishop Obinim arrested for alleged Fraud

The founder and leader of the International God’s way  church, Bishop Daniel Obinim have been arrested by the Tema police for allegedly defrauding a businessman of GHC  11.5 million.

According to ASP Darkwa, Public Relations Officer of the Criminals Investigation Department (CID), the Tema police received a complaint from a businessman who claimed Obinim took the said amount from him to perform a ritual for him but failed to perform that ritual and failed to refund the money as well.

Apart from this charge, Obinim is also charged with flogging a pregnant teenager and her boyfriend and he would later be to the Domestic violence and victims support unit (DOVVSU) to be investigated for this charge as well.

According to the police officer, Obinim has been transferred to the Police headquarters in Accra for further questioning.  Below is a video of the arrest of Obinim earlier in the day;
