VIP To Return Home For Sallafest

The much awaited musical concert dubbed, ‘Sallafest’, which is expected to bring various Muslim communities on one platform to celebrate the breaking of the 30-day fast in the month of Ramadan has officially been launched at a colourful ceremony in Accra.

The ‘Sallafest’ musical concert which would take place on August 19 would feature some selected hip-life music stars including the hip-life trio, Vision In Progress (VIP).

The event was being organized by EXP Ghana in collaboration with VIP and Chapter O, was expected to attract thousands of music lovers from all walks of life.

Launching this year’s ‘Sallafest’, the chief of Nima, Nii Futa, stated that he was highly impressed with the peaceful relationship between Muslims and Christians in Ghana.

He disclosed that ‘Sallafest’ would bring a large number of Muslims and even some Christians on the same platform; something important for strengthening the bond between the two religious bodies.

He urged everyone who was involved in the celebration to give selflessly to ensure its success.

On his part, the head of sponsorship and media of EXP Ghana, Elloeny Amande, announced that this year the longest feast table would be introduced as part of the ‘Sallah’.

According to him the 600 meter table which would feed 7,000 to 10,000 people on the Nima-Maamobi highway would afford companies and individuals the opportunity to give back to the community.

Sponsors for the event are Frytol, CCTC, Nokia, Challenger Condoms, Coca-Cola and Metro TV.
