Vybrant Faya to embark on music project

imagesHe may not be a household name but ever since new dancehall artiste, Vybrant Faya, released his popular Mampi song some six months ago, he seems to be telling Ghanaians exactly what to expect from him.

And to make himself more visible, Vybrant  Faya will embark on a music project dubbed  I Stand Tall  at some selected areas in Accra.

He said in addition to that, the project will also help unearth talented youth in the ghettos who are doing well in music but are unable to shine due to lack of resources.

According to Vibrant Faya, the project which takes the form of musical performnces and a talent hunt and will begin in the first week of October will make its first stop in Nima.

“Other places where I and my Shatta Movement Family will take my project are Maamobi, Korle- Gono, Sukura  and Chorkor,’ he said.

Talking about why he is not that popular in Ghana,  Vybrant Faya said it is because he is yet to do a video of Mampi.  “Also, I haven’t granted enough  interviews to the media,” he said.

Although he is yet to be really out there, Vybrant Faya believes he is still one of the best dancehall artistes in Ghana because he speaks original Patois and his punch lines are the best.

“The reason Mampi went down well with people is because of my punch lines and the Patois I speak. I don’t just ‘raga’ because I want to but I am careful with my choice of words because I want to be identified as an artiste who is unique,” he said.
