Who represents Ghana in Big Brother?

imagesOrganisers of Africa’s biggest reality show, Big Brother Africa, have announced that ahead of the launch on October 5, the list of the Big Brother housemates, will be released to the public.

This is a new move by M-Net and series producers, Endemol SA. Never have the names of housemates been released prior to the launch date. The announcement said the names of the participating housemates will be released live on the official Big Brother website from 12noon GMT today Thursday, September 18.

Three Big Brother housemates will be introduced daily followed by regular updates on social media.

This move by Big Brother, according to close Big Brother watchers, could be a sensible strategy to outsmart any leakages about the identity of the housemates that may occur following the unusually long wait they have had to go through as they waited for an alternative house after fire ravaged the original Big Brother house.

Especially for Ghana, which is among the few participating countries which could not present a country-resident representative due to difficult travel  documentation arrangements, the revelation of who the non-resident Ghanaian representative is, will be closely monitored.

Already two unfamiliar names, Beatrice Oppong and Kacey Moore, have been making the rounds on social media as the likely reps for Ghana.

During the eighth season of Big Brother, over six million fans interacted with the show via the Website, Twitter, and Facebook, with the website generating just over 200 million impressions.

“We are breaking new ground and the website and social media are the perfect platforms to engage with the fans in real-time,” says M-Net Africa Regional Director (West Africa), Wangi Mba-Uzoukwu. “The show will go on, and both fans and housemates are in for some riveting television, coupled with all the drama, intrigue and heart-stopping twists that have long become synonymous with the reality show”.

Big Brother Hotshots will run 24/7 on DStv channels 197 and 198, with live eviction shows as well as the best of the live daily and weekly highlights shown on Africa Magic Family, Africa Magic Showcase, Africa Magic World and Maisha Magic..

Live eviction shows as well as the best of the live daily and weekly highlights will be on Africa Magic Family, and Africa Magic World on GOtv.
