‪I just lost a deal worth 1000s‘ of dollars because of FDA – Wendy Shay.

The talented RuffTown record singer, Wendy Shay, has bemoaned the supposed ban of Food and Drugs Authority (FDA) on Ghanaian celebrities.

The best musician queen according to her own criterion has appealed to FDA to do the needful by amending such a law.

She posted this on her Facebook wall;

This is the actual message from Wendy Shay:

“‪I just lost a deal worth 1000s‘ of dollars with this foreign alcohol company..I didn’t know in GH Celebrities can’t advertise for alcoholic beverages according to FDA ‬

Given the influence and affluence that some celebs wield, their fan base may be willing to patronise any products that they endorse.

Is FDA right in their decision to prevent celebs from advertising for the consumption of alcoholic beverages ?
