Three Metro-sexual Lessons You Should Learn From Bernard Yankey

A confident and well-dressed man,two of the things today’s woman is looking for in every guy. We’ve all been brought up to think that all a woman needs is some handsome,rich and romantic guy. It doesn’t work like that in this day and age. You need to be confident and well-dressed to even make the attempt to speak to her.
One gentleman who  undestands and has mastered this concept very well  is BERNARD FIIFI YANKEY a.ka The Unapologetic Metrosexual (@yankey_himself). The term metrosexual originated in an article by Mark Simpson which was published in The Independent. Simpson had this to say:

Metrosexual man, the single young man with a high disposable income, living or working in the city (because that’s where all the best shops are), is perhaps the most promising consumer market of the decade. In the Eighties he was only to be found inside fashion magazines such as GQ. In the Nineties, he’s everywhere and he’s going shopping.

Yankey fits the description very well as images on his instagram and snapchat will profess (we stalk him a lot) . The young journalism student and model has a huge following due to the very meticulous in which he carry himself and his up to date grooming lifestyle. Last weekend we joined the world in celebrating a lifestyle that is both  commendable and admirable on his birthday. Here are three lessons we learnt from his lifestyle and you need to adopt as so well.

1.Be Confident
Yankey doesn’t care what other people are doing and what the celebrities are wearing. He wears what he likes as long as it fits the occasion. We learnt that when your attitude to yourself changes everything around you will change as well. The way he carry himself around is proof of his self-worth, and he is true to who he is, this explains why people notice him wherever he goes. Try adding a smile too, it’s the most fashionable thing you’ll ever wear.

2.Be Yourself
Fiifi will never dress to please anybody (maybe his girlfriend or mum), aside that forget about it.In fact, people don’t care about your Gucci shades,Issay Miyaki perfume or your Calvin Klein jeans, they only accord you respect because you have your own thing going on. Take a careful look at David Beckham, Kofi Okyere Darko (K.O.D) or some of the people you take inspiration from; they look they were they do because they’re themselves. Following them won’t get you anywhere.  Find the clothes and lifestyle that fit and suits YOU perfectly. When you do that you’ll instantly feel better. The foundation of Men’s Fashion and the metrosexual lifestyle was built on this ideology.

3. Stay Fit
Yankey of yester-years was one fat soul (lol) but his learnt this trick and perfecting it; staying in shape for all aspects of life, not just for looking good. Take our word for it ladies love a well dressed man but a fit guy with a toned figure or the whole six-pack regiment is every woman’s dream. Looking flawless at all times, without fail is on reason why you should stay fit. All those designer clothes won’t cover up an unfit body, and it shows in your face and eyes if you’re unhealthy.  All that we recommend is for you to indulge in a sporting activity you enjoy or hit the gym three times a week. Eat all those junk foods but in moderation.  Enjoy this new found lifestyle and get the girls drooling!!!
