As part of the 15th National Address on COVID-19 by the President of the Republic, it was revealed that preparation towards the BECE examination is somewhat being stalled because of inaccessibility to readily cooked meals for the candidates.

Reacting to this, President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has announced a modality to curtail the menace.

“All 580,000 final year Junior High School (JHS) students across the country are to receive one hot meal each day”, Prez. Akufo-Addo revealed.

According to the President, the decision stems from complaints from students about going hungry in an attempt to fully comply with COVID-19 preventive protocols.
