A Mighty Tree Has Fallen – Kofi Sarpong

The police officer turned musician who was promoted to the rank of Superintendent earlier this year whose latest album, ‘ Agyenkwa ‘, an Akan word which means ‘Saviour’, is a compilation of soul-touching melodies and a couple of danceable tunes are still ruling the airwaves.

His promotion to a higher rank in the police service marks a new development in his life and career as a police officer and a musician.

Sup. Kofi Sarpong recounted that his first personal relationship did not last for hours but describe the late president as simply incredible fellow that words cannot describe.

“I simply instantly started learning from the man the very minute we got to the castle, he was calm, humble, very tolerant, because when we got there we actually delayed in arranging out selves and the president approached us on two occasions asking if we were ready, even though we were at fault, he was very patient and jovial to us until we left there and I even took the opportunity to take a picture with him,” Kofi sarpong narrated.

“That was the only personal and close encounter I had with him, but we all live in this country and we can all tell who and the value of what we have lost as a country. We pray that God keeps him safe till we meet again.”
