Accra gears up for Joy FM’s Annual Skuuls Reunion

All is set for this year’s Africa’s biggest outdoor event, the Joy FM Annual Skuuls Reunion which brings together Ghanaians and provides them with a rare opportunity to relive their memorable school days.

Sponsored by telecoms giant MTN, this year’s event, according to Events and Promotion Executive at Joy FM, Offeibea Adu-Mfum, has generated a truly unprecedented interest.

Giant stages have been mounted by beverage companies and food venders are fighting for every inch of space at the Ghana Trade Fair Centre.

Not even the ominous clouds and the showers that follow are enough to deter people from setting up for the event.

“You can see for yourself that despite the rain, people are working feverishly to put their stands in order,” said Offeibea.

“You saw the excitement, the antics and the extremely funny costume at the forecourt of Joy FM last night when Accra Aca and IPS stormed the place; that was an excellent prelude to what is going to happen here today. This place is going to boil with excitement,” she added.

People have started trooping to the event grounds.
