Acting as a guarantor contractor is illegal – EC warns the public

The Electoral Commission has warned the against contracting unknown people to act as guarantor for them to enable them register for the new voters ID card.

The CI 126 permits only two primary documents as a proof of citizenship. In the absence of of either the Ghana Card or the passport the   applicants are required to bring two people to vouch for them to register.
