Acts Considered Unprofessional In The Teaching Profession

THESE ACTS ARE CONSIDERED UNPROFESSIONAL AS FAR AS THE TEACHING PROFESSION IS CONCERNED.

Unprofessional Conducts:

-Making and receiving phone calls during instructional hours.

-Giving punishment that deprives learners from taking part in lessons.

-Boycotting lesson due to a student’s misbehavior.

-Allowing students to mark attendance register.

-Giving texbook to students to copy on the board for their colleagues.

-Reading contents verbatim from texbook to pupils.

  • Sending pupils to work for you during instructional hours.
  • Giving items to your pupils to sell in the school for you.

  • Taking in alcohol before coming to school.

  • Engaging in unhealthy relationship with your students.

  • Working lotto or betting during instructional hours.

  • Discriminating against a student due to personal reasons. Be it misbehavior, tribal, religious or political affiliation.

  • Quarrelling /Fighting with students or colleagues. It doesn’t show maturity.

-Unnecessary borrowing from students and colleagues.
