Afia Schwarzenegger Chooses Despite Group Over TV3 Network…As She Resigns

Valentina, who was introduced few weeks ago as the new hostess of TV3’s flagship musical show “Music Music” has resigned after barely a month of hosting the show. She has written to the management of TV3 announcing her resignation as co-host of the entertainment show and according to the letter, her resignation takes effect from October 1, 2013.

Speaking to Peacefmonline.com this morning, Valentina confirmed her resignation and explained the reason for her decision. According to her, she explained to the management of TV3 when they first approached her to host Music Music that, she already has a contract with Despite Group, yet they (TV3) agreed and went ahead to give her the job.

According to Afia, everything was fine until TV3 started complaining after they saw a commercial on UTV advertising an upcoming drama series “The Game” which features her as the lead character.

“They agreed initially and they said they had no problem with the fact that I already have a commitment with Despite but now they are saying a different thing all together. They are complaining and throwing tantrums here there about the same issue now. TV3 said they were okay with sharing me with Despite – but now wants me all for themselves but that cannot be possible because I was with Despite before them and they know it. This was making me very uncomfortable and I don’t think It is fair to Despite”.

Afia said her loyalty lies with Despite Group because they employed her when nobody was willing to work with her so she cannot choose TV3 over UTV. She said she even gave TV3 an option to pay off the amount Despite Group paid her so they can have her exclusive for TV3 but they were not ready to do that.

Asked if management of TV3 have contacted after she sent her resignation letter, Afia said “Well I have had a number of meetings with them and they have told me to rethink my decision but I have already decided and I am not changing my mind. My brand is very expensive and Despite has paid me enough to have me. I cannot work for any company who can’t afford my brand.

Valentina hosted “Music Music” for three week before her unexpected resignation on September 25, 2013.

She is now the lead character in UTV’s prime time TV series “The Game” which started airing last weekend. Valentina will also feature in other upcoming production from UTV.
