Miss Universe 2011 Leila Lopes and Nigerian-American Football (NFL – New York Giants) Star Osi Umenyiora are ENGAGED!

The couple announced their engagement via a series of tweets on social networking site – Twitter.

It’s been a decadent and love filled February for the duo who were on vacation in Europe with Osi’s brother – popular Lagos-based luxury car dealer Okwi and his pretty wife Fifi.

Osi and Leila’s romance was made public in November 2012 when New York society and gossip column “Page Six” spotted the couple “hiding out in the back of Empire Steakhouse with gorgeous Lopes on Monday during a party to say farewell to her title.“

Since then, 31-year old Osi and 26-year old Leila have kept their romance low-key with no photos of them in public up until these recent twitter and instagram shots. There had been whispers about their engagement over the last few days as the couple informed their family and friends. USAfrica Online reported the news of their engagement yesterday and a quick glance at their respective twitter pages confirmed it!
