Quality videos is everything in music, along the years we’ve come to realise that it’s not just about laying down tracks but visuals also plays an important role in shaping a career of an artist. And one person who knows about a good finish is E.L
Born Elom Adablah, E.L is the new arrival on the Afrobeats music scene. Even though many will argue that he’s been on the scene for a while, E.L was mostly behind the music, producing for the likes of D – Black, Tinny, Asem Sarkodie and Reggie Rockstone.
He got his first big break as a producer when D – Black’s ‘get on the floor’ single won Hip Hop of the year at the Ghana Music Awards in 2011. E.L later did a movie scoring for Shirley Frimpong Manso’s movie ‘A sting in the tale’ which also won an African Academy Movie award.
With his distinct voice and infectious beats, the rapper is no doubt taking Ghanaian music to a whole new level. He built a strong fan base when he featured on Sarkodie’s summer hit You Go Kill and sure didn’t disappoint his fans after. He produced hit after hit and impressed us with Azonto tracks like One Ghana, Obuu mo and Turn the lights down. AfrobeatsUK caught up with him for an Afro Coustic version of his hit single ‘Obuu Mo’
