Akufo-Addo’s decision to ask the Auditor General to go on leave threatens all institutions – John Mahama


The Auditor-General of the Republic of Ghana, Mr. ’s recent accumulated leave saga has sparked varied discussions with some supporting the move from the whilst others are greatly opposed to it. The issue became more intense when the was allegedly locked out of office some few weeks ago.

The (NDC) flagbearer and immediate past President, () says President Akufo-Addo’s decision to ask the to go on leave threatens the independence of the ’s office as well as other independent offices of the state.


“If the president can ask the Auditor General to go on leave, it means he can ask the to go on leave, he can ask the to go on leave, he can ask the to go on leave, but these are supposed to be ”, JDM added.
