All Serious Musicians Are Vagabonds & Stubborn – Shatta Wale

Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jr who is a Ghanaian reggae-dancehall artist and well known by his stage name Shatta Wale formerly (Bandana) is in the news again. Best-known for his classic song “Dancehall King”, he was able to win the Artiste of the Year at the 2014 edition of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.

He shot to mainstream music after he disappeared for almost a decade and went into supposed exile in Jamaica to rebrand himself to what we’re all enjoying and valuing today.

Through a post on his social media handles, he has indicated the true definition of a great musician and a celeb champion. To him, any great person was once very stubborn, unwanted and a “shaker of homes”. See the screenshot of his claim below:
