Born Nigerian but lawfully accepted as who happened to be a member of the Union of Ghana(MUSIGA) named Mzz during an interview with our reporter said ’’I am coming out with a poles apart package from now and beyond.
According to Mzz Gold, she has aloy to offer Ghanaian music industry this time around since she is running her own affairs as an independent artiste not being controlled by any record label. Formerly, Mzz Gold was signed to the ‘’Zome records’’ which she feels limited her natural endowment as a musician. She declared that she is originally a dancehall artiste but due to management she is sometimes force to do other genres she finds difficulties with. Although they have done a lot for my music career as my management team but I still feel I can do better without them because me as an artiste, there are some places I want to go or certain things I wish I could do but due to the management they decide almost eighty percent on what to do because at the end of the day the artiste is not paying the money she noted. Due to how complicated the contract was I decided not to renew it when it ended so that I can be focus and some of the things I prefer doing.
As part of pushing my music business to the next level, I would be doing a remix of one of my songs with a Uk based Nigeria artiste called Tee Jay.
Currently Mzz Gold is preparing to shoot a video of the song titled ‘’shake your body’’ which happened to be the track four on her debut album titled ‘’Man Zomi’’ released last year September in Ghana.
According to Mzz Gold, the act in response she has gotten so far is in actual fact excellent but getting the applaud from the fans is not essential if the organizers don’t pay well. In Ghanaian music industry, the artiste must be encouraged a bit in terms of shows they put up and the artiste they invite. The artiste must be supported fiscally because before go on any platform to perform, they should know that the artiste paid money for the recording and also shoot video as well. If the event organizers pay the artiste small money, how would they fly Mzz Gold reiterated. They have to across the world like Sarkodie, Samini, R2Bees and others made money from shows outside Ghana. If Ghanaians support their artiste and they get support from abroad then we will be able to be on top of our game. Sometimes the set of clothes the artiste wear on stage cost more than the money he or she received at the event.
Even before you shoot a good video you necessitate paying a huge amount of money. Those are the challenges I have been facing in Ghana and am very certain that the known artiste on top of their game knows what am talking about she stated.
When asked if she has work with any Ghanaian artiste, this is what she has to say, ’’I have worked with guru and am looking further to work on something with Stonebwoy, Jupita and Shatta Wale she added.
There are so many things in the pipe line which Mzz Gold will be hitting the music scene with as time goes on because she is bringing a whole lot of new approach with her music videos, stage craft, fashion and many other avenues to make an artiste a standard.
Mzz Gold doing austerely dancehall will be a big challenge to Mzz Vee, , Kaakie and the other ladies inflowing into the music scene doing the dance hall genre should prepare adequately well because the competition will be stiff and only the strongest shall live to tell the tale.
I know my fans have miss me and I have by the same token miss them but all I can say is that, they should expect more from me since am emerging as a different brand on my own label and promising them I wouldn’t disappear again she disclosed.
