Who is Amerado ?
Derrick Sarfo Kantaka, popularly known as “Amerado”, is a Ghanaian rapper and musician from Kumasi (MicBurners Label).
As a young rapper of just 24 years, he has been nominated in the past for an award in South Africa and Ghana because of his musical prowess.
He was featured in Sarkodie’s “Biibi Ba” all rap track and did wonderfully well in his rap verses.
He has said it all about himself and his musical career in the video below;
During the said interview with Nayoka Oware, he was asked of the meaning of Amerado and he explained that it means “governor”. He further opined that he is indeed the rap governor or emperor in Ghana.
With regards to his working background, he affirmed that he was hardworking and formerly worked as an accountant in a reputable hospital in Kumasi.
He added that his career started with his first ever song which was entitled ‘Baba’.
He concluded that in showbiz, one needs a lot of financial push and personal time.
He promised Ghanaians to watch out for his dope tracks in the coming days.
Can he overthrow Sarkodie as the rap king of Ghana?
