Breaking News: NDC Wins The Disputed Sene West Seat
The NDC’s parliamentary candidate for the Sene West Constituency has won the seat after counting today in Techiman.
The Sene West Parlaimanetry seat has been outstanding because the parliamentary candidate for the NPP challenged the EC and the NDC at the Wenchi High Court after someone stole one ballot box.
The ruling party requested an injunction on the declaration of the parliamentary results in order to review the outcomes of the elections in the constituency. Lead lawyers for the NPP were Nana Sekyere Boateng and Obiri Boahen whiles NDC was represented by Kojoga Adawudu and Ofosu Agyare on Thursday.
The court ruling paves the way for the Electoral Commission to declare the results for the parliamentary contest in the Sene West constituency.
The current parliament ill have a majority of 138 against a minority of 137.
