“Bride Price Is Only Paid To Virgins, Argue With God” – Reno Omokri
Former nigerian presidential aid and author of many books, Reno Omokri has sparked a debate on social media.
He said his readings of the bible has revealed that bride price should not be paid to ladies who are not virgins as of the time they are being married.
He cited Exodus 22:16-17 to buttress his point:
16 “If a man seduces a virgin who is not pledged to be married and sleeps with her, he must pay the bride-price, and she shall be his wife. 17 If her father absolutely refuses to give her to him, he must still pay the bride-price for virgins.
