The much anticipated and perhaps the most controversial bout in Ghana has finally come to an end. The fight between the two Bukom giants came to an end tonite with Braimah kamoko aka Bukom Banku emerging as the winner in a thrilling and highly entertaining bout which took place at the Accra sports stadium.
After months of postponements and disappointments, the non-title bout came off in style as Bukom Banku walked into the stadium with a coffin expressing his intent of finishing Aryittey powers off and he made the most of that threat by inflicting heavy punches on his opponent which saw him bleeding in the mouth and gasping for breath throughout the fight. Although he went down twice, which was ruled as a slip, Ayittey powers did well to stay on his feet throughout the contest despite the avalanche of assaults his opponent rained on him.
After twelve rounds of an exciting boxing contest, the Judges scored the bout as 117/109, 119/100 and 120/108 all in favour of Bukom Banku which gave a true reflection of a highly dominating and mostly one sided contest by Banku who threw everything at his opponent with powers offering very little in resistance except to endure throughout the contest. The bragging rights will therefore remain with Banku and will probably be for a very long while.
