Check When WAEC Would Be Releasing The 2020 WASSCE Results

The West Examinations Council (WAEC) has announced when the WASSCE results of prospective candidates who sat for the 2020 edition will be released.

The Head of Test Administration Division of WAEC, Mr. George K. Ohene Mantey disclosed this while speaking a program dubbed ‘Engage WAEC' with Winfred Ampiaw as the host.

The WAEC staff explained that after the marking process and other laid down stages, the general public is to expect the release of the results from October ending or early first week of November this year.

Mr. George Mantey said:

“So If we are fortunate and there are not too many errors to correct, we correct errors during marking of scripts… If there are not too many errors then hopefully by ending of October or early first week of November we will release the results….. so first week November, it will be released”.

It is currently unclear the exact date the Examinations Council will release the 2020 WASSCE results but members of the general public, stakeholders and candidates can target the first week of November ( by Tuesday, November 5, 2020).

How to check your WAEC results in November 2020:

There are a lot of steps for checking results, but the procedures below are a definitive guide to help check your results even faster despite the traffic on WAEC's website which causes a problem in checking results.

  1. Using browsers like Firefox or Chrome, Visit the WAEC results checking website and wait for a full display of the site's homepage.
  2. Enter your Index Number (carefully do that to save time).

  3. Select your type of (eg. WASSCE).

  4. Select your Examination year (eg. 2020)

  5. Enter the Serial number found on the results checking Voucher.

  6. Enter the 12-digit Personal Identification Number (PIN) on your Voucher eg. 012345678912.

  7. Confirm your Index Number and Examination Year. (This is to ensure that your examination information is correct).

  8. Click on Submit and wait for the display in the popup window. (This may take several minutes).
