Child Protection Centre by Miss Ghana

Miss Ghana 2013 ambassador, Nadia Ntanu, has graced a special inaugurationceremony of a child protection centre at the Catholic-run institute, Don Bosco. Ntanu was part of a core of specially invited persons for the inauguration of the first-ever Child Protection Centre (CPC) in Ghana under the auspices of the Don-Bossco Technical and Vocational Training Institute spearheaded by the Salesians of Don Bosco under the West Africa Province

The facility, a state of the art building, is two-storey each, with sick bay and a cafeteria.

The centre among other things is to help rehabilitate neglected and vulnerable street children as well as provide psychological, social and academic training.

All 35 students of the institution are to benefit, officials say.
