Citizen Kofi Hosts US Peace Corps 50th Celebration

CITIZEN KOFI will tonight play host to members of the US Peace Corps as part of a huge ball to celebrate the latter’s 50 th Anniversary in Ghana.

Ghana is the first country to host US Peace Corps Volunteers.

The celebration will kick off at 7pm with a cocktail reception at the Citizen Kofi Sky Bar, followed by dinner and dancing in the Hollywood Lounge.

The event is expected to be glamorous and the dress code for the night is evening wears and traditional outfits. Currently tickets for the occasion are still available at Citizen Kofi for GH¢100 each.

Citizen Kofi’s Head of Events, Reks Brobbey, told BEATWAVES that ‘all proceeds will go to support the Peace Corps Gender and Youth Development programme in Ghana.’

Meanwhile, next week Wednesday, May 25, is AU day and the plush entertainment centre will offer its clientele some awesome experiences.

‘We are having a 5-course dinner with each course paired with selected wines from South Africa. The cost is GH¢65 per person and it is reserved for 50 guests only. Dinner will begin with tomato bisque, grilled Crostini topped with chevre and Ahi tartar, tantalizing spinach salad with brie, shoe string potatoes and bacon vinaigrette, grilled NY strip steak, and end with banana bread pudding,’ Reks added.
