The Pulpit is a Christian reality show organized by TV3 to develop the talent of preaching the Gospel in teenagers between 10 and 14 years of age. This year’s competition began with a gruesome auditioning that took place in the Northern and Southern sectors of Ghana, where twelve contestants were eventually selected.

After the nine-week session of live television broadcast, the two COP members secured the first and third positions out of the four who were honoured at the end of the programme.

For the first position, Whitney Ama Andrea Hayford of Dodowa District in the Madina Area took home a cash prize of GHC8,000, a certificate, a tablet and products from sponsors.

Justice Alor, whose mother-tongue is Ewe but preached amazingly in Ga dialect, was presented GHC6,000, a certificate, a tablet and products from sponsors for placing third.

The other winners were Lorraine Kodua Aboagye of the Mount Olivet Methodist Church in Kumasi, who placed second, and Janet Asor Graham of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana, Abeka, who also placed fourth.

Whitney was further acknowledged by the Dodowa District Pastor, Samuel Kwesi Bonney, at a joint service held at Oyibi. She was presented with a cash amount and a citation for her commendable feat.

Justice Alor, on the other hand, received a rousing welcome from members of the Obom District. The District Pastor, William Amponsah Asiamah, congratulated him for his wonderful achievement and urged others to emulate his example.
