(COVID-19): 10 Ghanaian MPs ‘quarantined’ – Speaker of Parliament unveils

With some reports circulating online, ten (10) Ghanaian Members of Parliament have been quarantined for fears they may have contracted the deadly Coronavirus.

According to the Speaker of Parliament Rt. Hon. Prof. Aaron Mike Ocquaye, the lawmakers with various committees travelled outside the country.

As a result, they are on self-quarantine and being observed to ascertain if they show signs and symptoms of the virus that has killed thousands in Italy, China, Spain and other parts of the world.

For obvious security reasons, the Speaker of Parliament declined to mention the names of the MPs or to state where they belonged in the house – majority or minority side.
