Speaking on Okay FM’s ‘Ade Akye Abia’ program, he explained that like other African countries enough kits have been provided at areas the people gather frequently to help them get protected.

“So what is the government doing with the $100 million it announced recently to help fight the disease?” he asked.

“The preventive measures you announced are good, but what practical measures have you taken to contain the spread?”

He added that the President should show commitment and leadership and put the allocated money to use.

He also expressed worry about the level of education on the disease and its preventive measures.

“Is is about time you engaged in massive education exercise to have more people educated about the virus and the personal hygiene they need to keep,” he said.

The government has announced a ban on church-related activities, mosques prayers, and all other public gatherings.

President Akufo-Addo made this bold declaration Sunday evening, as part of measures to stop the spread of coronavirus in the country.

In his second national address on the Coronavirus update, President Akufo-Addo said; “all public gatherings including conferences, workshops, funerals, festivals, political rallies, sporting events and religious events such as services in churches and mosques have been suspended.”

The ban will be in force for the “next four weeks”.

Additionally, he said, though “private burials are permitted,” the membership should be “limited to not more than 25 persons.”

“Secondly, all Universities, Senior High Schools and basic schools (i.e private and public) will be closed Monday, 16th of March, 2020 till further notice,” President Akufo-Addo stated.
