COVID-19: Gov’t will announce certain restrictions soon – Information Minister
Minister for Information cum Member of Parliament for the Ofoase-Ayirebi constituency, Hon. Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, says the government may resort to restrictions in some parts of Ghana as a modality in subduing the spread of the deadly Coronavirus pandemic.
He revealed that the government is open to all measures from stakeholders, experts, and all and sundry to help salvage the spread of the pandemic. To him, restrictions in some parts of the country could be part of those measures.

In his words on the radio, he opined:
“So far, every step of the way, the government has been very proactive with coming up with measures to contain the situation. Those final rafts of measures now that the law has been put in place may include some restrictions in some parts of the country but whatever will be done will be with the objective of ensuring that we totally negate the potential for community spread”.
As of the time of filing this report, Ghana’s recorded COVID-19 cases stand at one hundred and thirty-two (132) including three (3) fatalities.
