COVID-19 Is Perfect Excuse For Prez. Akufo Addo & NPP To Cancel The Election And Remain…-Maurice Ampaw

A private lawyer noted for controversial stance on societal issues, Dr. Maurice K. Ampaw has advised His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to use the COVID-19 pandemic as a basis or excuse to postpone Ghana’s upcoming parliamentary and presidential elections.

“NPP and Nana Akufo-Addo should be smart enough to tell Parliament that because of COVID-19, the election should be rescheduled to next year. Let them take advantage of it”, he spoke in his recent interview.

According to the outspoken legal practitioner, the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) seem more determined than any political party as Ghana prepares for the December 7 General Election despite concerns by the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) and other stakeholders that there is no need for a new voters’ register.

“With COVID-19 and calls for new Voters’ register, NPP is prepared for the 2020 election than NDC”, Lawyer Maurice Ampaw added.
